Aluminum 7475 Sheet is a high strength alloy with incredible toughness.  It is a derivative of Aluminum 7075 alloy.  Aluminum 7475 Sheet is commonly used in the manufacturing of shell casings, aircrafts, and other structures.  Aluminum 7475 Sheet machining characteristics are very good in the annealed condition.

Aluminum 7475 Bar

Use of warming Aluminum 7475 Bar at 250 F will assist in forming, especially for spinning.  Aluminum 7475 Bar may be formed by different conventional methods.  Optimum formability is with the material in the W (quenched) condition.  Welding is not normally done to Aluminum 7475 Bar.

Aluminum 7475 Plate

Aluminum 7475 Plate cannot be forged.  In the heat treated tempers, Aluminum 7475 Plate is more difficult to form because of it greater strength.  Aluminum 7475 Plate in the annealed condition is readily cold worked using conventional means.  Tempering is not applicable to Aluminum 7475 Plate.  Alloys International is one of the few companies that actually carry this very rare alloy.
