Commercially Pure Titanium

Commercially Pure Titanium is widely utilized in Power Generation, Chemical Processing, Aerospace and Medical applications.  We produce a full compliment of Commercially Pure Titanium grades to service stringent corrosion resistant, high strength, and biocompatible applications.  As a family, Commercially Pure Titanium and its alloys have developed a mystique as a nightmare to machine.  This is simply not the case.  Experienced operators have compared Commercially Pure Titanium's characteristics to those found in 316 stainless steel.  Recommended practice for Commercially Pure Titanium includes high coolant flow, slow speeds, and relatively high feed rates.

The mechanical properties of Commercially Pure Titanium are influenced by small additions of oxygen and iron.  By careful control of these additions, the various grades of Commercially Pure Titanium are produced to give properties suited to different applications.  Commercially Pure Titanium contains the lowest oxygen and iron levels, producing the most formable grade of material.  Titanium 50A, 65A, 75A, and 100A have progressively higher oxygen contents and correspondingly higher strength levels.

Titanium Grades
