Titanium Beta 21S Sheet
Titanium Beta 21S Sheet is a mestastable beta alloy that offers high specific strength and good formability. Titanium Beta 21S Sheet has been designed for improved oxidation resistance, elevated temperature strength, creep resistance and thermal stability. Titanium Beta 21S Sheet is most useful for applications above 300 °C. Because it can be economically rolled to foil and is compatible with most fibers, Titanium Beta 21S Sheet is also well suited for metal matrix composites.
Titanium Beta 21S Foil
Aerospace applications that use Titanium Beta 21S Foil include engine exhaust plug and nozzle assemblies. Titanium Beta 21S Foil is resistant to aircraft hydraulic fluids, such as Skydrol, is excellent at all temperatures. It is well suited for metal matrix composites because it can be economically rolled to foil, is compatible with most fibers, and is sufficiently stable up to 816°C. Titanium Beta 21S Foil offers the good cold formability and weldability of a beta strip alloy, but with greatly improved oxidation resistance and creep strength.
Titanium Beta 21S Coil
Typical heat treatment for Titanium Beta 21S Coil is solution treatment, 816-843°C for 3-30 min, air cool. Titanium Beta 21S Coil is a metastable beta titanium alloy that offers substantial weight reductions over other engineering materials. Titanium Beta 21S Coil is useful for applications from 550°F (228°C) to 1100°F (593°C). The alloy’s resistance to aircraft hydraulic fluids, such as Skydrol, is excellent at all temperatures. Titanium Beta 21S Coil has been specifically designed for improved oxidation resistance, elevated temperature strength, creep resistance, and thermal stability.
Alloys International also has Titanium Brazing Alloys (also known as TiCuNi Foil, Ti Cu Ni Foil, and Titanium-Copper-Nickel Foil).
